Centre Amata Activities

Meditation

Meditation - Yoga - Nature - Music - Acupressure - Silence

Centre AMATA programs invite you to explore the subtle dimensions of your being and experience communion with your Self, Mother Nature, and your fellow participants. We aim to create a benevolent atmosphere in which everyone can be who they are without having to perform a certain role or keep up a specific image about themselves. Our program schedules are relaxed so that there is time to fully enjoy the beauty of Centre AMATA. In a space of trust and relaxation, we focus inwards to connect with the peace and stillness we all find in the essence of our being. The proposed activities and exercises are simple but powerful. No specific experience is needed. Anyone with a longing to explore the mysteries of their inner world is welcome!

About Centre AMATA programs

At Centre AMATA, we offer a multitude of activities including:

  • Traditional meditative Hatha Yoga
  • Silent meditation (various approaches from different traditions)
  • Conscious walks in Nature
  • Music meditations and Bhajans (Mantra Chanting)
  • Acupressure points for relaxation and healing
  • Shiatsu exercises for meridian harmonisation
  • Deep relaxation and yoga nidra
  • Meditation in movement (Tandava) and chakra dances
  • Reflection and sharing of experiences about the connection between our psyche and spirituality
  • Reflection and sharing of experiences about sensitivity and spirituality
  • Tips and inspiration for balance in daily life

The above activities and techniques contribute to reconnect us to our true essence or spirit. It does not matter how flexible you are or how good it looks. What really matters is being present and using these exercises as a way to find the stillness and peace that is already present within each one of us!

Very small groups of 2-8 people make our programs very special and intimate. We offer comfortable accommodation in single, double or triple rooms with private bathroom. The food at Centre AMATA is mostly vegan, but we do offer cow's milk, butter and cheese for those who like. No alcohol is being served.

Our programs are generally offered in English. However, if you book for a group, we can also offer activities in French and Swiss-German.

Centre AMATA is ideal for sensitive people. Check out our detailed information page for particularly sensitive guests

Participants may be asked to help with very small tasks such as washing their own dishes, setting the table or keeping the dining area neat and clean.

Smoking is not allowed during any of our programs.

About the facilitators

Ruth Züblin & Emmanuel (Manu Akshobhia) Mougenot

"Yoga and spirituality is our of life. It happens at every moment of life, not just on the yoga-mat."

We both have a deep love and fascination for the mysteries and depths of our subtle dimensions. And we love to share deep moments with others. In our activities at Centre AMATA we offer a holistic experience based on all the teachings and growth experiences we have found immensely valuable for ourselves along the years of our spiritual journey.

We owe our most profound transformation to the following three great Masters:

It is their love and wisdom that continues to guide us every day!

We are also deeply grateful for all the teachings received at Agama Yoga. We both left Agama in 2014 because we no longer resonated with the spirit at the school.

Emmanuel has been greatly inspired by the many silent retreats attended with Sahaja of Hridaya Yoga (Hridaya global and Hridaya France).

Being highly sensitive, Ruth in particular keeps benefitting from the kind guidance of Lee Harris and his team (Lee Harris Energy).

Ruth

Ruth (1976) grew up in a small village in Switzerland. After studies in international relations and development cooperation, she spent 4 years in Sri Lanka, working for an NGO. After her return to Switzerland, she worked for various companies, mainly in marketing.

"I thought everything in life had a rational explanation, was logical and calculable. This attitude changed drastically when I visited Rishikesh, India, in 2011 for an intensive yoga course. I got totally fascinated by the Mysterious, the Inexplicable. The yogic teachings and the invisible, yet so palpable spiritual vibe of Rishikesh had gotten hold of my entire being."

Since 2012, Ruth dedicated most of her life to her spiritual quest, undergoing a profound healing and transformation process which involved coming to terms with a difficult childhood and adolescence and learning how to manage her sensitivity in daily life.

Ruth's most important trainings and self-development processes include:

Agama Yoga Thailand:

  • Teacher Training (500hrs)
Prem Baba's Path of the Heart:
  • Who am I?
  • ABC of Spirituality 1
  • ABC of Spirituality 2
  • ABC of Sexuality 1
Guruji Rajkumar Baswar:
  • Pujas/Yatras 2-6

Kientalerhof School of Bodytherapy:

  • Basic training in Acupressure

Languages: Ruth speaks German, English and French

Emmanuel

Emmanuel (Manu, 1973) grew up in Brussels, Belgium. His mother being a yoga teacher, he got in touch with yoga early in his life. After studies in western philosophy, he got more and more drawn to read about spirituality and to practice yoga and meditation.

"My first trip to India in 1995 turned out to be a spiritual opening. It was such an intense process to discover 'Mother India', especially Rishikesh and the Ganga. I got the deep calling to immerse myself more profoundly in the spiritual path and explore the eastern approach of philosophy and its various practices."

Emmanuel spent most of his time between 2000 and 2015 in Thailand and India to deepen his quest, practicing various forms of yoga and meditation. For many years, Manu was teaching at Agama Yoga where he also trained future yoga teachers. From 2007 to 2014, he ran his own yoga school in Dharamsala, India, together with his partner at the time. He also held workshops & retreats in Canada, Turkey and Europe.

Emmanuel's most important trainings and self-development processes include:

Agama Yoga Thailand:

  • Complete curriculum, many years of teaching incl. guiding workshops, retreats and teacher training programs
Prem Baba's Path of the Heart:
  • Who am I?
  • ABC of Spirituality 1
  • ABC of Spirituality 2
  • ABC of Sexuality 1
Guruji Rajkumar Baswar:
  • Intensive Sadhanas since 2006
  • Pujas/Yatras 1-6
